Join us this Friday at the AC Hotel to welcome Chris Clark, President and CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. A Georgia native, Chris has served in this position since 2010. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and Georgia College and State University.
For over a century the Georgia Chamber has focused on advocacy for free enterprise, policy development, business and economic development, events and engagement opportunities and provides numerous Chamber Services for small businesses like its 401(k) Plan and SMART health insurance plans. Today the Georgia Chamber represents over 50,000 members in 159 counties and works with 161 local and binational chambers every day. The Chamber operates offices in Atlanta, Tifton, and Brunswick. Last Sunday's presentation for Anchor Place Respite-Dunwoody attracted nearly 70 people - including these members of the Dunwoody family: Dick Game, Charlie and Anita Augello, George and Amy Stewart, Anne Glenn, Jennifer Shumway, Dottie and Griff Ransom, Hoshi and Baku Daruwalla, Bob and Andrea O'Brien, Ron and Louise Barden, and Kathy Brandt.
We are excited about the opportunities for us to get involved with Anchor Place Respite - Dunwoody, as volunteers and through our contributions. As we mentioned in Friday's club meeting, we are pursuing a grant through The Rotary Foundation to expand these important efforts in our community. Watch for lots more news!
