Georgia's primary elections take place Tuesday, May 19. Early voting is open through this Friday, May 15.
Many people are not aware that the primary election is actually the most consequential election in Georgia, yet only 15% of Georgians participate.
In 2022, 172 of the 180 legislative seats were decided in the primary election, not the general election. This year, in addition to legislative seats, two Supreme Court seats will also be decided in the primary. The leaders elected will impact the lives of every Georgian—at work, at home, and in their communities.
Take time to learn about the candidates and the issues and vote!
