Join us this Thursday - August 20 - at Marlow's Tavern in Dunwoody Village for an evening of fun and fellowship! Festivities begin at 5:30 pm and run until sometime between 7 and 8 pm.
Mark your calendars for a key highlight of our Rotary year! We are honored to welcome District Governor Cynthia Edwards as our featured speaker during our regular general meeting on Friday, August 28. Her visit is a wonderful opportunity to hear her vision for our district, connect over our shared commitment to service, and gain fresh inspiration for the year ahead.
To kick off her visit, the Rotary Club of Dunwoody will host an evening reception in honor of DG Cynthia and her husband, Dr. Lonnie J. Edwards, Sr., on Thursday, August 27 at the Louisiana Bistreaux, starting at 5 pm. We're likely to be out on the covered patio with lots of ceiling fans, but dress for outside August weather. Come out to mingle, enjoy great conversation, and extend a warm Dunwoody welcome to our district leadership!
Please plan to attend both events to show your strong support for District Governor Edwards and celebrate the spirit of Rotary together!

When Kathy Brandt joined the Rotary Club of Dunwoody in 1998, she wasn’t exactly a stranger. After years as a "Rotary spouse" supporting her husband Fred, Kathy—encouraged by members like Bill Mulkey—decided to step into the red badge world herself. A lifelong volunteer since her "candy striper" days, Kathy found a unique synergy in Rotary that she couldn't find elsewhere. "Rotary is unique because it brings together successful professionals who are driven to give back," Kathy notes. "There is a 'multiplier effect' when high-energy people with 'can-do' attitudes band together."

At last week's meeting, I posed a challenge to our members - I want every member to have to participate in our new Rotary Coin Connection Challenge. Here’s how it works:

At last week's meeting, our Rotary family grew a little larger and stronger. We had the distinct privilege of officially inducting two fantastic new members into our club: Andrew Turner and Charles Sharper.
Both Andrew and Charles bring a wealth of experience, fresh energy, and a shared dedication to the ideal of Service Above Self. As they begin their Rotary journey with us, let’s make sure they feel the full warmth of our community.
Please take a moment at our next meeting to introduce yourself, offer a warm welcome, and get to know them. A strong club thrives on fellowship, and we are thrilled to have Andrew and Charles working alongside us to make a difference in our community and beyond.
Welcome aboard, Andrew and Charles!

The Dunwoody Nature Center is seeking volunteers for its annual Butterfly Experience Festival, happening Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Dunwoody Nature Center. This family-friendly weekend brings our community together for nature education, fun activities, and community connection. Volunteers are welcome to assist for a portion of the day or in roles that best fit their schedule and interests.

On September 11, our speaker - Sonal Chandler from Minerva Consulting - will address the issue of cyber security. She has asked that we take a quick survey in advance of her talk - you can do so using this link: pre-presentation survey. Please reply by September 1.
