FAMILY OF ROTARY

Our membership cares deeply about the needs and concerns of our members. We don’t want to miss an opportunity to reach out in friendship when such concerns arise. The chairperson of this committee is Lynn Dunn and all news should be directed to her at lynn.dunn@rmcpa.com

RRAH Meeting Recap + Friendsgiving

Last week was a busy one for After Hours! The club hosted a special virtual meeting that included a virtual course, Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention, led by Lynn Prothero. Lynn serves on the board for the Georgia Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, is a Crisis Text Line volunteer and is a Talk Saves Lives educator. She spoke on research, prevention and support as it relates to suicide. One of RRAH's focus areas is mental health, so it was an impactful meeting they won't soon forget.

On Thursday, RRAH had a special social event--Friendsgiving! Each member brought a dish to share and everyone enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast. It was a wonderful night of delicious food, fellowship and laughs.

The next After Hours meeting will be held Tuesday, December 6 at 6:30 at the Artillery Room. The guest speaker will be Rotarian Pat Rains who will speak on entrepreneurship and lead a private tour of Gate City! More details to come.

Adult Leaders Needed
New Cub Scout Pack at Drake House

Roswell Rotary is partnering with the Drake House to organize a Cub Scout Pack at the Drake House and Drake Village.  This pack will be open to boys and girls who are kindergarten-age through fifth grade. Roswell Rotary will be the Chartering Organization. The Atlanta Area Boy Scout Council will provide financial support to make sure that families have as little or no cost as possible.

Roswell Rotarian Michael Gould will serve as our Chartered Organization Representative.  We need additional adults to serve as leaders.  If you are interested in serving as an adult leader for this new Pack, please contact Michael Gould at michael@goulddigitalimaging.com or 770-617-2965.
