No meeting this week but you can kick off 2026 with Rotary's United for Good float in the New Year's Day Rose Parade from Pasadena, California!
We'll be back to regular Rotary meetings next Friday at Maggiano's ... and rumor has it there will be an opportunity to join Fred Bounds and the early morning Bounds Garden Gang on Saturday, January 11.

It's a 12th Night Wine Fellowship to ring in the New Year - also dubbed by hosts Ron and Louise Barden as an "ugly sweater/pretty sweater" duel! In any event, join your Dunwoody Rotary friends this Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 3-5 pm. Bring a bottle of wine or other beverage and a snack to share.
Mulled wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be served. And let's keep our Christmas garb out for an extra week - we invite you to wear your ugly Christmas sweater ... Or a pretty Christmas sweater ... or whatever. Be aware: There will be prizes for the "ugliest" and the "prettiest" Christmas sweater.
The party will be at 5576 Colbert Trail, Peachtree Corners, GA. Our home phone is 770 447-9281.
Please RSVP to Louise by email at lbarden@comcast.net
While you are NOT thinking about the golf tournament, think about helping us out at the GRSP Leadership Weekend ... taking place January 30 to February 1 at the Dunwoody North Shallowford Annex. This year, we are co-hosting the event with the Rotary Club of Buckhead - one that brings all 40 students in the Georgia Rotary Student Program's Class of 2025-26 together for a weekend of learning, service and fun. The Rotary Club of Metro Atlanta and the Rotaract Club of Atlanta also partner in putting on this event.
To have a successful weekend, we need lots of help from you. For now, we are focused on enlisting host families for the weekend.
One of the most important roles you can play is as a host family for the weekend. It’s a great way to get to know students from all over the world. We encourage hosting two students, but will try to accommodate your request for one, two or more than two! Host family responsibilities include providing:
Host families are also invited to join the students for Friday and Saturday night meals and activities.
If you are interested, let Jackie Cuthbert know - send an email to cuthbert@mindspring.com - and let her how many students you'd like to host, what countries you might be interested in, and whether you have pets (so we can avoid any pet allergy issues.
Enjoy a Happy New Year celebration with your family. Watch the Rotary float in the Rose Parade. If you were to think about the Dunwoody Golf Tournament at all:
We’ll be here to tell you more (and more) starting next Friday!
