Golf Tournament Update
Two Months Away ... Where We Stand

Exactly two months from today - May 18, 2026 - our FORE! the Memories fundraiser golf tournament will tee off at St. Marlo. Here's a quick look at some ways you can still support our efforts:

  • So far we have 17 hole sponsors but we are still waiting to hear from some of our previous supporters. We would like at least one more but can take as many as we can get! If you helped get hole sponsors previously, please reach out to your contacts to get their commitment.
  • We continue to look for a $25k Signature sponsor which we will only get if someone knows someone in a position to make this level of donation. Same for a $10k Platinum sponsor.
  • Help us! If you are planning on playing golf as a single, sign up and let Rick Woods know. We will create a foursome for you.
  • Neal continues to look for auction items. Gift cards from restaurants are popular so use your connections!

You can visit FORE the Memories! website or contact Bob O'Brien for more information. Thanks for your support!

Service Opportunity
Join Us at the USO: April 8

Wednesday April 8, 2026 will be Rotary Club of Dunwoody USO Volunteer Day. We will serve our service personnel and family members an “All American” lunch of hot dogs with all the condiments, potato chips, fresh fruit, snack bars, cookies, bottled water plus a portion of baked Ziti & Momma’s meatball.

We would like to have eight volunteers for the day from 9 AM to 3 PM. Duties vary from greeter, hot dog grill mate, server, bag monitor among other to do items that need to be done to serve our military service personnel. We are also looking for cookies, water and snack bar donations. Read more. [read more]

Getting to Know You
Jennifer Shumway ... From Atlanta 2017 to Dunwoody Parade

For many, the 2017 Rotary International Convention in Atlanta was a global celebration of service. For Jennifer Shumway, it was a family affair that changed her life. When her father—then President of the Lake Butler Club—visited for the convention, he stayed with Jennifer and posed a pointed question: “Why haven’t you joined Rotary yet?”

Having met the legendary Fred Brandt during the convention, Jennifer’s father was so impressed by the Rotary Club of Dunwoody that he insisted she connect with him. Today, we are certainly glad she took his advice! [read more]

Fourth of July is Calling

Yes, it's only March, but we're thinking ahead to July and calling out anyone who'd like to help lead the charge for two key Fourth of July positions:

  • Creating our float and coordinating marchers for Dunwoody's annual July 4 parade - continuing our participation that stretches all the way back to the start of Dunwoody's Fourth of July parade.
  • Managing the RCD hot dog booth that's been part of the Fourth of July party after the parade for nearly as long as we've marched in the parade.

Contact President Matthew or President Elect Dave if you can help! We'd like to have our committees in place soon!
