This Week's Speaker
Julia Carlotto Biral, Our 2025-26 GRSP Scholar!

Join us this Friday at Maggiano's when our GRSP student - Julia Carlotto Biral - from Brazil shares the story of her year here in Dunwoody! Julia is hosted this year by Ardy, Lydie and Chloe Bastien, and is studying psychology at Oglethorpe University - and we hope she'll continue to be part of our lives as she continues those studies over the next few years. Service Opportunity
Join DeKalb Rotary Council for Tucker Day 2026

This coming Saturday - May 2 - Dunwoody Rotarians have an opportunity to join the DeKalb Rotary Council for Tucker Day 2026. You can help the DeKalb Rotary Council and Rick Woods to support this event - where we plan to tell Rotary's story and promote membership - in the Tucker club and others in the Council.  It's not too late to contact Rick Woods if you'd like to help.

Calling All Volunteers
Dunwoody Arts Festival - May 8-10

Calling all volunteers to help transform Dunwoody Village into a thriving artist market. The 16th annual Dunwoody Art Festival features artisans from across the country, a creative Kidz Zone, entertainment and tasty festival food. Mark your calendar now. Be part of the team that will make this 2026 signature event a “best-ever” success.

The Rotary Club of Dunwoody has been part of the Festival since its inaugural year in 2010. In exchange for the amazing volunteer support by Dunwoody Rotarians and Atlanta Rotaract, the Rotary Club of Dunwoody receives a complimentary ($2,000+ value), well-located exhibit space ($2,000+ Value) at the festival. We utilize this exhibit as the center for the Rotary Club’s community outreach - a place where we have recruited new members and enlisted potential Rotary Youth Exchange host families and outbound students.

There are two ways to help:

  • Be a Festival volunteer: Welcome artists and help them set up on Friday (6-9 pm) and/or Saturday (6-9 am)
  • Be a Rotary Club of Dunwoody ambassador: Help share our story with the community. We will staff the booth from 10 am - 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday; let us know when you might be able to help that happen.

You can register by completing a form on Friday, or contacting Russell Reams or Kathy Brandt. Please include name, cell phone #, requested shifts, and t-shirt size.

Golf Tournament Updatee
Plan to Join Us Live at St. Marlo - May 18

May is almost upon us - and GOLF is in the air, as we get ready for our upcoming Golf Tournament on May 18 at St. Marlo. You can continue to check out our progress and make donations at our tournament web site. As Bob O'Brien reported last Friday, all of our golfer slots are filled! And of course, we're enlisting everyone's best thoughts for a no-rain tournament day!

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help. Alison will be reaching out to each volunteer with specific assignments to ensure a smooth and successful event.

Join in Post Tournament Events - Be Sure to Register

As a reminder, following the tournament, we will host an Awards Ceremony, an Auction, and a "Cook Out" style buffet meal. All members are invited to participate in these festivities.

If you plan to join the post-tournament events and are not playing in the tournament or listed as a volunteer, please contact Alison Norris at 678-596-7695 or Deb Cameron at 404-668-1259 so your name can be added to the St Marlo Security Gate list. Please note that entry to St Marlo, a gated community, is restricted. You will be required to show identification at the gate for access.
