Human Trafficking Awareness Event 10/23/19

Our Club is working to bring awareness and stop demand for the sex trafficking trade in our neighborhood. This is the restart of a District Program from several years ago by Buckhead Club. We are working with Secretary of State's office and

Our Event was held on 10/23/90 at the Crown Plaza Ravinia open and advertised to the public. We drew over 100 attendees. A film was presented and followed by a round table discussion by local law enforcement personnel to answer questions and raise awareness of the problem. We also had displays by local assistance groups.

This local awareness event was presented entirely with donations and volunteers at no out of pocket cost to the club, a new type of event for our club, and a great example of Rotary teamwork.
