Help FODAC Make a Difference This Saturday, August 8!

Last Friday, we heard from Chris Brand, CEO at FODAC, about the tremendous difference the organization is making in people's lives - whether it's local individuals struggling with a disability or people struggling across the country and around the world with emergency situations like earthquakes, hurricanes, and conflicts. Now - this week - we can be part of making that difference.

Every August, the DeKalb Rotary Council joins forces with FODAC for a Home Medical Equipment Drive. DeKalb Rotarians will gather on August 8 at the 57th Fighter Squadron Restaurant, then move out in teams to collect equipment in surrounding communities. Here's how you can help:

  • Plan to join our Dunwoody team for the day - from 9 AM to 1 PM (come at 8:30 AM, there's likely to be coffee and food) - we especially need people who can move equipment and people with pick-up trucks
  • Let Alison Norris know if you have any medical equipment to donate - things like wheelchairs, bathroom aids, walkers/rollers, hospital beds, scooters, pediatric equipment, adaptive vans or power chairs, and we can help you schedule pick-up.
  • Let your neighbors and friends know we can pick up any equipment they have to donate.

Our Dunwoody volunteers plan to have lunch at the 57th Fighter Squadron Restaurant once our work is done. Let Alison know now if you'd like to volunteer or make a donation!
