Denys Scheiner, Senior Value Stream Manager at Lightera

Join us this Friday at Maggiano's to welcome Denys Scheiner, Senior Value Stream Manager at Lightera in Carrolton, Georgia. 

With more than 18 years of international experience in the wire and optical cable industry, Denys Scheiner has held senior leadership positions across four countries, consistently delivering measurable operational and business results.

He began his career in Brazil as a Process and R&D Engineer, developing innovative copper and optical cable solutions. During this time, he applied advanced engineering methodologies, including artificial intelligence tools, to accelerate product and process development. Several of his projects were presented at leading cable and connectivity symposiums (IWCS) in the United States.

Throughout his career, Denys has led strategic manufacturing and business transformation initiatives. In Colombia, he played a key role in the implementation of a new optical cable manufacturing plant, leading activities ranging from recruitment and training to process qualification and production startup. In Argentina, he established the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) department for the cable and connectivity portfolio before serving as Plant Manager for the optical cable operation, where he drove operational excellence, cross-functional integration, and business process optimization. He also served as a member of the Southern Cone Supervisory Board.

Most recently, in Carrollton, Georgia, USA, Denys was invited to support the development of the site's Senior Operations Manager and subsequently assumed a broader leadership role across operations, engineering, maintenance, and continuous improvement. Under his leadership and through strong team collaboration, the Ribbon Value Stream achieved significant improvements across all key performance indicators during FY25.

Denys combines extensive industrial leadership experience with a strong academic background, holding an MBA in Business Management, a Master's degree in Automation Engineering, and a PhD in Photonics. His research has been published in internationally recognized European scientific journals as Springer and Elsevier. He is recognized for his strategic mindset, technical expertise, and passion for developing high-performing teams while delivering sustainable business results.
