Service Opportunity
We Want You at the USO: April 8

Wednesday April 8, 2026 will be Rotary Club of Dunwoody USO Volunteer Day. We will serve our service personnel and family members an “All American” lunch of hot dogs with all the condiments, potato chips, fresh fruit, snack bars, cookies, bottled water plus a portion of baked Ziti & Momma’s meatball.

We would like to have eight volunteers for the day from 9 AM to 3 PM. Duties vary from greeter, hot dog grill mate, server, bag monitor among other to do items that need to be done to serve our military service personnel.

Cookies: The best for our military personnel. Starting this year USO new regulations prohibit ANY HOME-made food items to be served. We ask you to please donate cookies that are commercially made. Box of cookies can be dropped off to the E.48th Street Market on April 4 and April 7, 2026 before 6PM. We will repack them on the day of service.

Transportation: It is strongly recommended that volunteers take MARTA to the airport instead of driving due to the continued limited parking due to the construction at the airport.

Other Items Needed: Members who are unable to volunteer can participate by donating bottled water (small bottles) and snack bars such as Nature Valley available at Costco at reasonable prices. Items can be dropped off at the E.48th Street Market on 04/06 and 07 before 6PM

A shout out to our new members: Please consider volunteering at the USO, it is one of the most satisfying and rewarding day of service.

Please contact Charlie Augello at Italian@e48stmarket.com if you would like to be a volunteer or make a donation.
